Yash Thakur Bought By Punjab Kings For INR 1.80 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Yash Thakur has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 30 lakh. A right-arm pacer, the 25-year-old plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket. The bowler has also represented India at the Under-19 level.
He has played 22 first-class games, 37 List-A games, and 56 T20s so far. In first-class cricket, he has taken 67 wickets while in the 50-over format, he has picked up 54 wickets. In the shortest format of the game, Thakur has taken 79 wickets.
In the IPL, Yash has played for one team so far - Lucknow Super Giants. He made his debut in the competition in 2023.
In his debut season, he played 9 games and picked up 13 wickets as Lucknow Super Giants made it to the playoffs. In IPL 2024, Yash played 10 games and picked up 11 wickets including a five-wicket haul.
