After their loss at Lord's, India are now already on the backfoot before they proceed to Manchester for the fourth Test. Arriving for the fourth Test, India would be eyeing a wonder just like Edgbaston.

India, who had never won a Test at Edgbaston, managed to reclaim their hold in the series with an iconic win there. Now, with the Men in Blue never having won at Manchester, can they turn it around here as well?

But to work such wonders, they would need the support of their players, and Jasprit Bumrah's availability is again under the radar owing to his workload management. On the other hand, Aakash Chopra has now raised concerns over the increasing workload on Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj.

The fourth Test is scheduled to begin on the 23rd of July, which will give enough time for Siraj and others to make their return after some quality rest off-field.

Aakash Chopra recognizes Mohammed Siraj's workload in the Indian team

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has opined that Mohammed Siraj's workload not being taken care of in the England series is unfair to the bowler. He brought to light that Mohammed Siraj has bowled the most overs for India and is the only Indian pacer to play in all 3 matches so far.

"He works very hard. He bowls a lot of overs. Interestingly enough, no one is talking about him, and you feel it's not fair that you talk about everyone, but not about him. However, he gives his 100 percent. Whenever he comes to bowl, he bowls wholeheartedly and runs in fast," Aakash Chopra responded to a question asked on his YouTube channel.

"It's great if there is something in the pitch, but even if it's not there, he is not someone who gives up. You never see his shoulders dropping. You always see Siraj fighting."

"Mohammed Siraj has been absolutely outstanding. I have only praise for him. He doesn't ask for breaks. He was dropped from the Champions Trophy squad, and I didn't like it at all," Chopra said, praising Mohammed Siraj's undying spirit of the game.

"Arshdeep Singh, frontrunner, yet debut not very soon," predicts Aakash Chopra

In the same YouTube video, when asked how quickly Arshdeep Singh can find a place in India's Test lineup, as he could possibly be the solution for India's long-time void of an all-format left-arm seamer, Chopra replied:

"He definitely can, there is no doubt about that. However, seeing him playing at the moment seems like a dream. It doesn't look like it will get fulfilled because you saw Prasidh Krishna in the first two matches, and then you saw Akash Deep as well. Akash Deep bowled okay in the last match and picked up 10 wickets in the game before that."

"We want a left-arm pacer to get ready, and Arshdeep is currently ahead of everyone in that race," Chopra predicted.

Is Jasprit Bumrah in or out of the Manchester Test?

"I feel Jasprit Bumrah will play the fourth match as well. So we shall see who is ready to play when the fifth Test match comes because the conditions at the Oval will also be slightly different, but I do get your point," said Aakash Chopra, who is also predicting Bumrah's presence in the fourth Test.

Mohammed Siraj might have been the player Chopra has given special preference to, but he has acknowledged the requirement of the great Jasprit Bumrah to keep India's hopes alive. Siraj is the highest wicket-taker in the series with 13 wickets so far in 3 games.
