In a big development in the world of cricket, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is set to launch a new T10 league in Canada. The league, a collaboration between Yuvraj Singh, Star 333 Sports Inc., and Cricket Canada, will be called Canada Super 60, and the inaugural edition will be played in July 2025.

Yuvraj Singh is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest cricketers for his explosive batting and all-round performances. Yuvraj was a key player in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup victory, where he famously hit six sixes in an over and played a crucial role in the team's 2011 ODI Cricket World Cup triumph.

Canada Super 60 League to Boost Growth of Cricket in North America

The Canada Super 60, set to debut in July, aims to boost cricket's popularity in North America, capitalizing on the growing interest in the sport in Canada and the U.S. The league will feature both men’s and women’s competitions, becoming the first North American event to do so from its inception.

The league plans to combine local talent with international cricket stars and promote cricket’s growth in Canada. With a unique 60-ball format, the organizers hope to attract diverse audiences and expand the sport’s fanbase. The inaugural season, which will include eight teams, will be held in Toronto.
