Punjab Kings will be facing Mumbai Indians in their last league game of the ongoing IPL 2025. The game will be of huge importance for both teams.
While both teams have already qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs, the race for the top-two finish is not over yet. Gujarat Titans are currently at the top of the points table, followed by Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
The Titans have already played all of their league games, while the other three teams have one game left. And all three teams have the opportunity to finish in the top two, which will give them two shots at the final.

With so much at stake, Punjab Kings will be desperate to win the upcoming game against Mumbai Indians. However, they will have to do it without their spin spearhead Yuzvendra Chahal. According to reports, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is currently recovering from a finger injury and will miss the match against the Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Yuzvendra Chahal to miss Mumbai Indians clash:
Yuzvendra Chahal missed Punjab Kings' last game against Delhi Capitals and is now all set to be sidelined for the contest against Mumbai Indians as well. According to PTI, the out-of-favour India spinner is expected to be fully fit for the playoffs stage.

With Chahal sidelined, Punjab Kings are likely to rely on Harpreet Brar and Praveen Dubey against Mumbai. Both the spinners played in the last game, with Dubey being used as an Impact Player.
Punjab Kings will be hoping that Chahal recovers as quickly as possible and remains fit for the playoffs. The right-arm spinner is the team's second-leading wicket-taker this season. Only Arshdeep Singh has taken more wickets than Chahal this season.
In 12 games so far, Chahal has picked up 14 wickets. His best bowling performance this season came against Kolkata Knight Riders when he picked up 4 wickets and helped Punjab defend a modest total of 111 runs.
Meanwhile, the Shreyas Iyer-led side will look to bounce back after suffering a 6-wicket defeat in their last game against Delhi. They failed to defend 206 runs and will be looking to do well with the ball against high-flying Mumbai Indians.
