This isn't the first time Chahal and Dhanashree’s relationship has made headlines. In 2022, reports suggested they were heading for a split, but Chahal denied the rumors and urged people to stop speculating about his personal life.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Yuzvendra Chahal came across Dhanashree Verma’s dance videos on social media and reached out to her for lessons. Their professional interaction soon turned into love, leading to an engagement in August 2020. They got married in December of the same year.
Dhanashree, a popular content creator known for her dance videos, and Chahal have been married for four years. Neither of them has made any official statement regarding their alleged divorce. Dhanashree previously dismissed these speculations, calling out “faceless trolls” for spreading “baseless claims.”

As per the Times of India, the couple could be heading for a separation. However, no credible source has confirmed the ₹60 crore alimony figure.
On the professional front, Chahal was acquired by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore at the IPL 2025 auction. The 34-year-old spinner, who played for Rajasthan Royals last season, will now represent Punjab Kings in the upcoming season.
