Pakistan's Zaman Khan pulled off an unconventional stunt to influence his batting position, and it almost worked in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup.
Zaman Khan went beyond traditional tactics by showing the Stallions captain Mohammad Haris a TikTok video of himself smashing massive sixes to convince him to promote him up the batting order in the tournament.
But Haris wasn’t convinced by Zaman’s hilarious tactic and sent Zaman Khan to bat at number 9 against the Panthers in the Champions One-Day Cup match.

Despite the disappointment from his captain, Zaman made the most of the limited time at the crease, delivering an explosive innings that left everyone in awe at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
Coming to bat No. 9 during the Stallions’ chase, the 23-year-old batter hammered a stunning knock of 42 runs off just 16 balls, with his explosive innings studded with six monstrous sixes. It was a sensational display of power-hitting that turned heads, but unfortunately, his heroics went in vain.
The Stallions fell short by 20 runs in their pursuit of the Panthers' mammoth total of 344/7 in the Champions One-Day Cup match at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Zaman's fabulous performance left Haris regretting his decision not to push him up the order, realizing the impact he had missed out on.
While the Stallions couldn’t cross the line, Zaman’s cameo became the highlight of the Champions One-Day Cup match, and his unique approach to using social media to influence his captain Haris has quickly become the talk of the town. The clip of his admission is now all over social media.

Well, the TikTok stunt may not have earned the right-handed batter a place up in the batting order, but his six-hitting spree surely won’t be forgotten anytime soon, especially by the Stallions captain Haris. He might reconsider his call and promote Khan up the batting order.
Zaman Khan said at the post-match press conference: “Tiktok par mainay apnay sixes ki videos lagaye thi taaki Haris dekhay aur mujhe jaldi batting par bhejay. Usne mujhe 6th position ke liye tayyar kiya hua tha. (I posted videos of my sixes on TikTok so that Haris would see them and send me in to bat sooner. He had prepared me for the 6th position).”
The Pakistani youngster signed off by saying, “Wo baad mein mere paas aya aur bola Zaman yaar mai to galti kar gaya. Maine kaha wo video bhi aapke liye lagai thi. (Later, he came to me and said, 'Zaman, buddy, I made a mistake.' I said, 'I posted that video just for you).”
