Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that Bangladesh will visit the nation for a long series across three formats of the game. This series has been scheduled to be played in the June and July window.
This series will mark the first home assignment for Zimbabwe after the team's successful run in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which was co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in 2026. The Zimbabweans had an undefeated streak in the group-stage games, which included historic wins over Sri Lanka and Australia.
Zimbabwe announces a multi-format series against Bangladesh
Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that Bangladesh will visit Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI and T20I series alongside a one-off Test. The series has been planned in the window between June and July. The much-anticipated tour is scheduled to begin with the one-off Test.
The last time Zimbabwe and Bangladesh faced each other was in a Test series in Zimbabwe, where the visitors managed a one-match victory over the hosts. This happened after a record-breaking slim victory for the Zimbabweans, which marked their first victory in the format after a span of four years.
The last time these two teams met in a white-ball series was back in 2022, when the hosts delivered impressive performances to clinch a 2-1 victory at the same Harare Sports Club. This white-ball series will give Bangladesh some exposure to the African tracks before the start of the ICC World Cup 2027.

They will then play the next three T20I matches between the 15th and 19th of July. Bangladesh, as well as the host team, will advance to Bulawayo for the three matches in the shortest format of the game.

“Our supporters have every reason to be proud" - Givermore Makoni's recent take on Zimbabwe's World Cup success
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Givemore Makoni went on to claim that the Bangladesh tour comes at a pivotal moment for the Zimbabweans, following the team's recent rise in international cricket and their dominance in ICC tournaments.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” he said.
“This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo,” added the ZC managing director.
