Zimbabwe Women set for historic tour of Pakistan as PCB announces schedule

Karachi is all set for a big moment in women’s cricket as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a big announcement in the middle of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026).
Actually, the Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team will visit Pakistan for a full white-ball series for the first time ever. The 50-overs games of this tour are part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29.
Zimbabwe Women set for maiden Pakistan tour
On Friday, April 10, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team will visit the country next month in May for the six white-ball matches. The Zimbabwe team is expected to land in Karachi on April 29.

This tour is historic for Zimbabwe and a crucial opportunity for Pakistan as they aim to prepare for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The ODI series is extremely important for the hosts as it is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29, and they are currently ranking fifth.
ODI series crucial for both Pakistan and Zimbabwe
Meanwhile, Pakistan Women and Zimbabwe Women will play three ODIs and three T20Is, with the iconic National Bank Stadium in Karachi hosting all the matches of this historic tour. The ODI matches have been scheduled for May 3, 6, and 9, with all games starting at 3:30 PM.
Following the ODI series, the action will shift to the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The T20I games are scheduled for May 12, 14, and 15 in Karachi. All T20I matches will begin at 7:30 PM. Both teams will train in Karachi between April 30 to May 2.
Pakistan to begin ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 preparations with home series
With this home series, Pakistan will begin full preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England. Before heading to the UK for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan will also travel to Ireland for a T20I tri-series featuring Ireland and the West Indies from May 28 to June 4. These games will offer players the perfect match practice before the global event.

The PCB said in an official media release, “The Zimbabwe women’s team will embark on their maiden tour of Pakistan to feature in a six-match white-ball series. The series comprises three ODIs and three T20Is. All six matches will be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, with Zimbabwe set to arrive in Karachi on Wednesday, 29 April.”
