Zimbabwe off-spin bowling all-rounder, Roy Kaia has been reported for suspect bowling action during the recent one-off Test against Bangladesh.

Kaia had a forgettable outing in the one-off Tests against Bangladesh in Harare as he toiled for a combined 23 overs across two innings without managing a single wicket.

As far as his batting is concerned, the 29-year-old bagged a pair as Bangladesh notched up a commanding 220-run win.

Following the reporting of his action, an expert panel will now analyze Roy Kaia’s action from the Test match as an in-person assessment at the ICC accredited center is not possible due to various restrictions imposed due to Covid.

However,  Kaia can continue bowling in international cricket till the panel discloses its final decision.

Roy Kaia, 26, made his international debut for Zimbabwe during the ODI series against Pakistan back in 2015.

He, however, was forced into the wilderness for six years before earning another international cap- in the one-off Test against Bangladesh.

While Kaia is still to take an international wicket, he has claimed 65, 61, and 17 scalps in 64 FC, 62 List-A and 27 T20s respectively.
