Dismissing Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan in limited-overs cricket is one of the toughest tasks in international cricket at the moment. Both the players are two of the best in the world and their track record in the last five years or so pretty much proves that. But for 19-year old Delhi fast-bowler Keshav Dabas, dismissing Rohit and Dhawan is perhaps not a very tough task.
The right-arm pacer dismissed the India openers in quick succession during a net session ahead of the first T20I against Bangladesh. He first found the outside edge of Rohit’s bat before castling Dhawan. As far as the celebrations were concerned, the youngster kept things normal as he later admitted he did not know how to react.
“It’s a great feeling… Ab kya bolu samajh nei aa raha,” Keshav told Hindustan Times.

The news outlet further reported that Keshav’s bowling even earned a ‘well bowled’ from India head coach Ravi Shastri and a ‘which club do you play for?’ question from India fast bowler Shardul Thakur.
“No, I did not hear the praise from Ravi Shastri sir but yes Shardul Thakur did ask me about my whereabouts,” said Keshav.
This was the first time he got an opportunity to bowl at Indian cricketers. Previously he was an official net bowler when India played an ODI against Delhi earlier this year. The youngster played for Delhi U-19 in one match last season but narrowly missed out from the squad this year.
Earlier this year, he also suffered a big setback when his father passed away in June due to a brain stroke. But fortunately, his family is not struggling to make ends meet thanks to the jobs of his elder sister and brother.
