Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s marriage to Bollywood Diva Anushka Sharma has taken the media by storm. While we can’t stop gazing at the wonderful pictures from the wedding, the superstar’s Twitter account has been filled with a million wishes. The couple made things official between them on December 11th in Milan, Italy. It was a private affair with only family and a few friends invited.

After completing his marriage, Kohli took to Twitter to announce it officially in a wonderfully written tweet. The tweet read:
“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
The tweet went viral like a fire in the woods and wishes poured in from all over the globe. From legendary Bollywood superstars to Indian cricketers everyone wished the couple on getting hitched. Pakistani cricketers in the name of Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir and Shoaib Akhtar also sent their wishes.

Though a bit late, but now another cricketer has come forward to wish the pair. And he is none other than former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers. De Villiers who has shared some memorable stands with Kohli playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore congratulated the pair and admitted that the news came to him as a surprise. Villers also wished the pair happiness in future and hoped Virat and Anushka would make a lot of kids together.
His tweet read:
“Congratulations to Virat and Anushka for getting married. Took me by surprise. But I always knew who had a surprise up your sleeve. So, congrats to my good friend Virat, and Anushka. I know you guys are going to have a very happy life together and hopefully many kids to come.”
