Abhinav Mukund Eager to Deliver For Lyca Kovai Kings in the Upcoming TNPL Season

India cricketer Abhinav Mukund is eager to weave magic for his new team, Lyca Kovai Kings, in the third edition of India Cements’ Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Meanwhile, he shifted his base after featuring for Albert Tuti Patriots for last two seasons. Furthermore, the tournament will commence in July

TNPL franchise Lyca Kovai Kings has been a team that has failed to go the full distance.

Batsman Mukund is confident to change the fate of the side and noted that bonding will be key to success in the short-paced tournament.

“I like to change that. It will be a big statement if I say we will win the tournament because there are other good teams. So, it is essential for us to get together as a team and understand each other very quickly. The faster the better for us on the field,” The Hindu quoted Mukund as saying.

The experienced southpaw Abhinav Mukund also noted they have a balanced side going into this edition. He also admitted that everybody is keen to work hard and bring more success.

“There are good bunch of youngsters and a couple of them are knocking the doors of the State and, a few of them are serious contenders too. But it’s a new season for us and we are all eager to work and bring more success,” he added.

On the other hand, Baba Aparajith has been a consistent performer for VB Thiruvallur Veerans (now VB Kanchi Veerans) and is confident of his team doing well.

Aparajith has a young side, all under 23-year age barrier and will be equally energetic on the field.

“All of them are below 23, and it’s going to add a lot of energy. For some teams, the experienced stars are their strength but for us, it is the youngsters, who are willing to give their best shot,” he said. “I have told it’s going to be tough and a lot of hard work has to be done but I believe they will stand up and deliver,” he concluded.
