Good-looking Afghanistan cricket team has landed in Bengaluru for their debut Test since earning the all-important status last year in June. Asghar Stanikzai-led Afghanistan against India starting from June 14 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Meanwhile, they are coming back from a series win against Bangladesh which will keep them confident.

While India sees this as a preparatory game for upcoming England tour, Afghanistan is confident of wrecking havoc by springing a surprise or so.

As a result, they have included five spinners in their squad to exploit the turning tracks in India.

The 19-year-old Rashid Khan will lead the bowling pack against a star-studded Indian team.

Whereas Rashid has been on fire, Afghanistan’s offspinners – Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi – who played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) too, also delivered the punch in the recently-held series.

Along with these, they have also named Zahir Khan and left-arm spinner Hamza Hotak – who incidentally emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the recently concluded first-class competition.

However, apart from the notable spin department, Afghan team have few weak links in the pace and batting department.

The visiting side lack in experience in both pace and batting department which could hurt them badly. Despite all the odds, the Afghans will look to put up a spirited performance against the top-ranked Test team.

Afghanistan reaches Bengaluru:

In plight to play their maiden Test, Afghanistan team landed in Bengaluru from Dehradun. They played a three-match T20I series in the Doon Valley against Bangladesh.

Stanikzai and his men will be keen to create an upset against the Ajinkya Rahane led side. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) from its official Twitter handle informed the news the of their arrival.
