Afghanistan Premier League 2018 is making the all the required efforts to pull the stardom to the tournament. Initially, they brought the likes of Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi and McCullum to grace the event; now, they roped in the services of India’s former ace cricketer, Venkatesh Prasad to coach Nangarhar team in APL 2018.

It is the first-ever global stint for Venkatesh Prasad as the head coach of the team. So far, his coaching stints have been in India only, where he had done various roles for the growth of Indian cricket in many ways.

Venkatesh Prasad to join Nangarhar in Afghanistan Premier League 2018:

The former fast bowler of India had worked as the National Junior Selection Committee Chairman. Then he called curtains on it to join the Indian national team as a coaching staff.

He also handed his services by penning a deal with the Preity Zinta-owned Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League. However, Venkatesh Prasad is carrying quite an impressive curriculum vitae in his backpack.

So far, Venkatesh Prasad is the only Indian head coach in the Afghanistan Premier League 2018. He will be accompanied by the notable analyst, Lakshmi Narayanan, who worked for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

Nangarhar team is quite balanced in their ranks for the Afghanistan Premier League 2018. Probably, Andre Russell is the cynosure of the eyes while Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal’s presence also takes centre stage.

They also got the services of the Nepal spinner, Sandeep and Kiwis’ McClenaghan. Rahmat Shah will pull the local crowd to support the team during the marquee event.
