2020 has been a testing year for a lot of citizens around the world. The year has saw the Australian bushfires, worst-hit earthquake in Zagreb, natural calamities like cyclone to the novel coronavirus pandemic making it worse. In the pandemic situation, the cricket boards have suffered their losses due to non-commencement of matches.

However, cricketers have returned to the field and resumed their practice sessions. Afghanistan players, among many others, have also resumed their training session. The board, as a precautionary measure has initiated training for the players in groups, as they get to feel their first bit of leather in over three months.

Afsar Zazai survived in a car accident with a minor injuries

Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai suffered a car accident with minor injuries Sunday. In a picture shared by a reporter, it can be seen that his car is damaged, as the Afghani cricketer was injured on his head. A picture showed he had evidently got some stitches on his head.

“National cricketer wicket-keeper batsman @AfsarZazai_78 survived in a car accident with a minor injuries in his head but his car damaged most. May Allah bless you get well soon bro,” reported Momand said in his tweet.

Zazai has played one T20I, three Tests and 17 ODIs for Afghanistan. He averaged 27 in the longest format while has scored at an average around 18 in the ODIs. He is, however, not a regular in the Afghanistan squad.
