Rajasthan Royals (RR) mentor, Shane Warne believes that his team’s skipper Ajinkya Rahane will return to the limited-overs squad recently stating him as a quality player.

Meanwhile, Rahane missed out on the 16-man squad on the back of a poor series in South Africa. Moreover, India is due to visit England for a three-match One-day International series in July.

However, Rahane had a great start to the series against Proteas. He shared a match-winning partnership with Virat Kohli in the first ODI at Kingsmead in Durban, playing an 86-ball 79 run knock.

Since then, he could only manage 11, 8, 8 and 34 (not out) runs in the rest of the games.

Kohli & Co. scripted historic win in the ODIs beating hosts for the first time at their own den. They continued their brilliant run beating them in the Twenty20 Internationals too.

Rahane is a class act: Shane Warne

The Australian legend Warne showered heaps of praise on his Rajasthan Royals’ skipper terming him as a quality player. He was also confident about Rahane’s return to the limited-overs squad is not that far.

I think he (Rahane) is obviously disappointed. But Rahane is a quality player, he is a quality act. We know he has the class,” Warne told to IANS.

He will be captaining the Test side against Afghanistan. Rahane is a wanted player and will be back. He will be playing ODIs and T20Is soon,” he added.

Meanwhile, this will be Warne’s last day in India (this IPL season) as he will fly back to Australia after Royals’ clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.

The Royals will be desperate to claim these two points and inch closer to the playoffs.
