India’s Women’s Twenty20 skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur is enjoying her phenomenal success in the ongoing Kia Super League. She played a hell of an innings against Yorkshire Diamonds that helped her team Lancashire Thunder to clinch the game by nine runs. In the 26th match of the tournament, she hit a massive shot that dropped just some inches away from the BBC journalist and Broadcaster, Stuart Flinders. The North West journo had a close escape as English cricket Alexandra Hartley joins the party.
On scoring 74 off just 44 deliveries that powered the total of Lancashire Thunder. Kaur slammed four boundaries while as six balls hit all over the park.
Her team lost the plot that was set by Nicole Bolton who scored 46. Apart from Harmanpreet and Bolton, no other batter could leave an impact in their innings. Excluding Harmanpreet and Bolton, the whole team could only score 31.
With the help of Harmanpreet’s power-packed innings, Lancashire put a target of 155 on the board.
In reply to it, Yorkshire Diamonds found themselves nine runs short. Katherine Brunt’s cameo of 44 off 25 could not help them to get off the mark.
