All the 15 members of the Vidarbha Ranji Trophy winning team have signed up for the IPL auction 2018, a report in TOI suggests. However, all the names are not expected to go under the hammer, and only a few players will find their name being called out on the auction day.

Without any doubt, Rajneesh Gurbani’s name will be the biggest one from this camp as he drew limelight with his hat-trick in the final against Delhi and also bagged the Man of the Match award. Just a few hours after the completion of the tournament, he was called by Mumbai Indians for trials.

Gurbani is expected to get a buyer in IPL auction. Reports had suggested that Aditya Thakare, who made his debut in the final, also went for the trials.

Out of the 15 members of Vidarbha squad, Gurbani and Thakare are the two players who are expected to get a buyer in the auction.

Faiz Fazal, surprisingly, might go unsold in the IPL and it would come as no surprise. He has played for Rajasthan Royals in the past. His performances in Ranji Trophy can see him making his comeback to the Indian A team.

It will be interesting to see how many players from Vidarbha get a buyer in IPL auction as this team has raised lots of eyebrows with their title-winning performance in the Ranji Trophy season. The Faiz Fazal led side qualified for the semi-final of Ranji Trophy for the first time in the history and got their hands on the trophy in the first go, which was a treat to watch.

Their victory in the final against Delhi, who defeated a star-studded Bengal in the semi-final.

The auction ceremony for the upcoming season of IPL will be held on January 27 and 28 in Bangalore.
