Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo have recovered from their respective injuries and are fit to feature for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming IPL 2020 matches. The development confirmed by CSK CEO KS Viswanathan comes as a major boost for CSK after they have struggled in the initial week of the IPL 2020.

Ambati Rayudu had played a match-winning knock for CSK in the inaugural fixture, following which he was left out due to a hamstring strain. CSK middle-order struggled in his absence as the onus solely fell on Faf du Plessis to anchor their knock. CSK CEO also showed faith in his side and said that they will bounce back from adversity one again.

“Rayudu has recovered well from a hamstring strain and will play in the next game. He ran and sprinted during training and batted without any discomfort at the nets,” CSK CEO K.S. Viswanathan told Sportstar on Monday.

“He bowled well at the nets,” said Viswanathan. “We have bounced back from adversity in the past. We will do so again,” he said.

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been a crucial cog in the CSK line-up over the years. He has contributed with the bat and ball for the side and his return to the side will add depth to the batting and give skipper MS Dhoni an extra option as a bowler. The Chennai franchise will next take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Dubai on Friday.

IPL 2020 will be played entirely in UAE due to the pandemic situation forcing the cricket board to host the tournament away from India. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah will be the three venues used for the tournament. Dream 11 are the sponsor for the upcoming season of the tournament after VIVO pulled out.
