Ambati Rayudu struggled to emulate the form that he had displayed in the opening game of the Dream11 IPL as Chennai Super Kings [CSK] got off to a horrendous start to their run-chase of 164 against SunRisers Hyderabad.
Rayudu was undone by a peach of a delivery by T Natarajan, who hit the deck hard around the leg-stump before the ball seamed away sharply. Rayudu, who was looking to steer the ball for a single on the leg-side was completely opened up in his defense, only for the ball to dislodge the top of off-stump.

Rayudu perished for a 9-ball 8 as CSK slumped further in their run-chase. Chasing 164, the former champions got off to a poor start as Shane Watson once again struggled against Bhuvneshwar Kumar and managed a painstaking six-ball 1 before eventually chopping it on his stumps in Kumar’s second over.
At the time of writing, CSK had lost the in-form Faf du Plessis following a controversial run-out after the ball slipped out of Jonny Bairstow’s hand before going on to hit the stumps. And, to make matters worse, Kedar Jadhav fell to Abdul Samad to send CSK further down the dumps, reeling at 4-42.
