Amol Muzumdar decks up to join Rajasthan Royals as a batting coach

Mumbai stalwart, Amol Muzumdar, is all set to take over the batting coach role in the Rajasthan Royals camp for the forthcoming season of IPL.
The veterans of Mumbai Cricket, Amol and Sairaj Bahutule will take over the helms of the coaching aspect in the Royals’ squad. Bahutule, earlier, was nominated as the bowling coach for the Royals.
Head of Coach, Zubin Bharucha will oversee Rajasthan Royals’ first camp in their base from March 13 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

“We are proud to have Amol Muzumdar on board as the team’s batting coach. His record on domestic circuit speaks for his greatness. The young batsmen will get so much to learn from him and develop their skills,” claimed Zubin Bharucha according to Business Standard.

“Amol and Sairaj both bring skill, experience and vehemence that will surely drive the energy of the team in the right direction,” added the RR head of the coach. Shane Warne is slated to join the team shortly for the upcoming camp.

Ajinkya Rahane, along with the other members of the RR roster, met at the Brabourne Stadium, for a conditioning camp last month. Muzumdar looked forward to setting forth an exciting journey in the Jaipur based franchise.
“These are exciting times for a batsman. Twenty20 has completely changed the contours of the game. The skill-sets are different, the game is more happening. There is never a dull moment,” reckoned the prolific run scorer for Mumbai.

Apart from the registering his excitement, Bahutule mentioned the roles one has to undertake to coach a T20 side.
“As a coach, one has to constantly innovate and adapt while guiding the youngsters acquire new batting skills and keeping the basics of the game intact at the same time. It is a role I am excited about,” ended the newly appointed batting coach.
