Arunachal Pradesh U23 Women Team All-Out For 14 Runs Against Himachal Pradesh

One of the bizarre scorecards made its way in the recently concluded match between Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. It was an under 23 women game, where Arunachal Pradesh team were bundled out for just 14 runs on the board. In reply, Himachal Pradesh chased it down in just 8 balls.

Initially, it was Arunachal Pradesh, who won the toss and chose to bat first. But, unfortunately, they found themselves in in an unwanted list of records book with their batting performance. Their batting lasted for 11 overs, in which, they managed to put 14 runs on the board.

As many as Seven batswomen were sent back to the pavilion by bagging ducks. The number 9 batswoman, Nabam, who scored 8 was the highest individual score for Arunachal Pradesh.

Coming to the bowling section, it was Prachi Chauhan, who was the most successful fast bowler for Himachal Pradesh. She bagged a 4-wicket haul to her name by giving away just 1 run in her 4-over spell.

She bowled as many 23 dot deliveries in his quota. Renuka Singh was the other bowler, who bagged a couple of wickets for 4 runs. Tanuja picked up one wicket while the other two players are dismissed run out.

In reply to the chase, Himachal completed the victory formality with all 10 wickets to spare in the BCCI-organised women’s league and knockout U-23 T20 tournament. Harleen Deol scored 11 while M Singh scored 5 to finish the game in just 8 balls.

Co-incidentally, in another international women’s T20 match on Sunday, China team was bundled out for the same number of runs against the UAE side.
