Ashes 2019: England Announce Playing XI For 4th Test, Chris Woakes Dropped

After a sensational victory in the Third Ashes Test, the hosts England team has made one change to their playing XI that won the game to level the series. They asked youngster Craig Overton to replace all-rounder Chris Woakes in the team. England also made a couple of changes to their batting lineup.
Joe Denly to open, Jason Roy at number 4:
The opening batsman Jason Roy has moved down to number 4 while Joe Denly, who showed a bit of resistance in the middle, was asked to open the innings alongside the southpaw Rory Burns. Of late, Chris Woakes failed to deliver the goods for the team, which certainly made the team management to take the harsh call.

Overton is now back in a Test squad for the first time since March 2018 when he played in England’s loss to New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland. The 25-year-old will be looking to don 4th Test cap for England. In eight County Championship matches this campaign, Overton has taken 32 wickets at an average of 21.34.
The Ashes series is currently locked at 1-1 following England’s dramatic one-wicket win in the third Test at Headingley where all-rounder Ben Stokes’s 135 not out saw them to a stunning win. The win in the fourth Test will give a massive opportunity to bag the trophy, as the winner will take an unassailable lead.
Meanwhile, Steve Smith will return for Australia after recovering from the effects of a concussion, while top-order batsman Usman Khawaja and pace bowler James Pattinson have been dropped. The left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc is also back in the mix, which means that the entertainment is guaranteed for the fans.
