England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has added young 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed to the English squad for the upcoming second Test of the Ashes 2023 against Australia at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

Leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has been added to the squad as a cover for Moeen Ali, who got himself injured in the first Test at Edgbaston. The all-rounder developed a blister on his right index finger and was struggling with his bowling in the game as he failed to land the ball perfectly.

He played just one game on the tour and bagged seven wickets in that match, including a fifer in the first innings. If Moeen Ali is deemed unfit, the leg-spinner can play his second match at Lord’s on 28th March.
