England batter Joe Root went past batting great Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli in the list of most career runs before being dismissed stumped in a Test. The batter achieved the knock after his knock in the second innings of the ongoing first Test of the Ashes 2023 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Joe Root, who struck a magnificent century in the first innings, continued his fine form and played another decent knock in the second innings. This time he looked more aggressive and played some outrageous strokes, making a mockery of Australian bowlers.

The English batter after scoring 11,168 runs in the longest format of the game. He surpassed Graeme Smith along with Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohii and only has Shivnarine Chanderpaul ahead of him.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul has the most career runs before being dismissed and stumped in a Test. The former West Indies cricketer was dismissed after scoring 11 414 runs. Joe Root sits next on the list whereas Graeme Smith (8,800), Virat Kohli (8,195) and Sachin Tendulkar (7,419) are also on the list.
