Bangladesh all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has been forced to get back to Dhaka who was a part of Bangladesh’s convincing victory over Sri Lanka in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

However, after winning the first match of the Asia Cup 2018, Bangladesh is currently preparing themselves for their second game. They will play against Afghanistan on September 20.

Meanwhile, star cricketer Shakib is returning to Dhaka just before the match against Afghanistan.

Shakib is scheduled to board a flight from Dubai on September 18 (Tuesday) at 4:00 PM. However, there is no such confirmation whether he will return to UAE to join his team.

According to reports, Shakib is expected to join with the team again on the 19th or 20th of September.

Moreover, Shakib Al Hasan daughter Alayna Hasan Aubrey fell ill while staying in a Dubai hotel with her parents. The Bangladeshi all-rounder has decided to fly her back to her home. As a result, Shakib will return to Dhaka with his family on Tuesday night.

Bangladesh into the Super Four:

Meanwhile, Bangladesh is through to the Super 4 in the Asia Cup 2018. This is the second stage of the tournament. Bangladesh had already thrashed Sri Lanka in the opening fixture of the Asia Cup where Shakib Al Hasan couldn’t do much with the bat.

However, on September 17 (Monday), Sri Lanka suffered another defeat against Afghanistan. The Lankans are out of the tournament. Bangladesh and Afghanistan will progress to the Super 4.

The two teams will face off each other on September 20 (Thursday). Pakistan has only played a single match against Hong Kong from group A, and have won the game.

It has not yet decided which two teams will qualify to the Super 4 from Group A of the Asia Cup 2018. India will clash off against Hong Kong on September 18 (Tuesday) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

Shakib Al Hasan proved to be a backbone for Bangladesh. The team management would be eager to see him making a return from Dhaka after Sri Lanka clash on September 15.
