Afghanistan opening batsman Mohammad Shehzad has become quite a sensation in world cricket with his ability to clear the ropes at ease and treat some top classing bowling attack with disdain. In the match against India, Shehzad went onto smash a sensational knock of 124 runs of just 116 deliveries which was studded with 11 fours and 7 sixes. He thrashed the Indian bowler all around the park and looked like the only batsmen who would score runs. He looked in stupendous touch and treated the 2nd string Indian bowlers with disdain.

He is a popular cricketer among the Indian fans and is always loved by the TV presenters and anchors who have taken his interviews. A couple of days prior to the India match, Shehzad gave an interview to India TV presenter Suhail Chandhok. “ Entertainment in #AbuDhabi with @MShahzad077 commentating as @Mujeeb_R88 & @ACBofficials’ boys egg him on! Says he’s ready to go on air @StarSportsIndia & I got him to throw you the gauntlet @JatinSapru! @RashidKhan_19 – you escaped this madness #BANvAFG #AFGvBAN #AsiaCup2018,” Suhail Chandhok wrote on his Twitter handle.
Another TV presenter Jatin Sapru who is also a fan of Mohammad Shehzad jokingly asked him whether we would get to see a helicopter shot during the match against India. Though he didn’t quite play the helicopter shot but proved why he is one of the finest Afghanistan batsmen ever. “Hahaha, Thanks @suhailchandhok – This is too good ! @MShahzad077 – we’re enjoying your show on the field too! Lage raho bade bhai 🙂 Tuesday ko ek helicopter ho jaaye?” Jatin Sapru wrote.

In reply, Shehzad said that he doesn’t have a helicopter but does have a Ferrari. “Sorry jatinbhai no helicopter but Ferrari is there,” he wrote. Not many would know that MS Dhoni is the idol of Mohammad Shehzad and he loves playing the helicopter shot. It was back in the 2012 ICC World Twenty 20 that Mohammad Shehzad showed that how well he has emulated his idol, MS Dhoni. He smashed Zaheer Khan for a helicopter shot and remained in the pose to show his idol that he can also emulate him.
