In the latest development for Asia Cup qualifiers, the officials of UAE announced their squad for the qualifiers. The talented all-rounder Rohan Mustafa will continue to lead the team in the prestigious event as well.
UAE will be competing against hosts Malaysia, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman and Singapore. The winner of the qualifiers tournament will join India and Pakistan to play in the main event.

UAE, being the hosts for the grand event, the presence of UAE in the tourney will bring a lot of positive vibes for the youngsters in their country as well. Meanwhile, the selector expressed his opinion on the team selection.
Speaking of the same, the Emirates Cricket Club chief selector Waleed Bukhatir quoted that it is very important for them to reach the main event. He added saying that they are confident of their players coming good for the team.
“Securing our place to compete in the 2018 Asia Cup, which is being hosted on home-soil, is of the utmost importance. Our players and the coaching team have been exceptionally committed to their training throughout the summer. We are confident they will put forward a winning performance and secure the remaining place (in the Cup),” Waleed Bukhatir, Emirates Cricket Board member and chief selector said.
Rohan Mustafa to lead:
The hosts of the main event announced a strong squad to travel Hongkong for the qualifier round. They included the likes of Chirag Suri, Rameez Shahzad, Shaiman Anwar who have got enough experience to tackle big oppositions.
Coming to the bowling department, the bowling department has been filled with Mohammed Naveed, Zahoor Khan and Co. All of them can deliver the goods on their day. However, UAE picked their best resources to come good in the tourney.
Despite having a less International experience, they can deliver the required goods for the team with the talent they have got in the squad. Meanwhile, the skipper, Rohan Mustafa is in tremendous form as well.
