Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison was seen carrying with the drinks during a warm-up game between Sri Lanka and Prime Minister XI. Notably, Sri Lanka are in Australia currently to play three T20Is starting from October 27 (Sunday).

The upcoming series will also mark the return of Steve Smith and David Warner, who will play their first game at home since the ball-tampering scandal broke out in 2018. Australia have named a strong squad under the leadership of Aaron Finch for the upcoming series.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka, who recently came from a T20I series against Pakistan, didn’t have a great start to te the tour. They went down against Prime Minister XI in the warm-up game at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

Batting first Sri Lanka posted 131 runs in their full quota of 20 overs. The Prime Ministers XI produced a good effort with the ball but contributions from Wanindu Hasaranga, Oshada Fernando, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa helped Sri Lanka post a challenging total after an early collapse.

During the chase, Harry Nielsen played a match-winning knock of 79 runs to seal the fate of the match. Lakshan Sandakan brought back Sri Lanka with quick wickets at the end but the target was too short to defend as Prime Minister XI under Peter Siddle’s leadership to walk home with the game.
