Cheteshwar Pujara – The Man Of The Series
On Monday, after rain calling curtains on the fourth and final Test, Cheteshwa Pujara was announced as the man of the match and the player of the series for the sheer number of runs he has scored in the series, as many hailed him to be the difference between the two sides as India won their first ever Test series in Australia.
The 31-year-old Saurashtra batsman ended up with a staggering 521 runs in the series at an average of over 74 with three centuries and a half-century. The knock in Adelaide was something, which gave the right kind of start to the series for India.
In one of those staggering stats, Pujara faced 1258 deliveries, comfortably the most by any batsman. The previous best was registered by Rahul Dravid when he travelled Australia, way back in 2003-04 tour.
