India’s former skipper MS Dhoni once again showed his class behind the stumps. Dhoni took a sharp take and as usual, he was able to take out the bails in a jiffy. Peter Handscomb who tried to go for the slog sweep, had his foot outside the popping crease. Furthermore, the right-hander could not get back his bat into the crease.
Subsequently, Handscomb decided to walk back as soon as Dhoni got rid of the bails. In fact, this was an imperative wicket for the Indian team as Handscomb had scored a fine knock of 73 runs in the first match. However, he could only make 20 runs in this innings.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni had taken 96 balls to score 51 runs in the first match. Thus, Dhoni was criticised for his snails paced innings. India lost the first match by 34 runs which further rubbed salts on the wounds.
Dhoni has struggled to rotate the strike at regular intervals, which has been his Achilles Heel in the recent past. However, Dhoni had played according to the match situation in the first match. But Dhoni was unfortunate to get out as the ball had pitched outside the leg-stump.

Meanwhile, the tourists have been brilliant in the field in the second match. Ravindra Jadeja was able to effect a fine run-out while fielding at the point position.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave an ideal start to the team when he sent back Australia’s captain Aaron Finch. Subsequently, Mohammed Shami provided the breakthrough in the next over to get rid of Alex Carey. This is a do or die affair for the visitors and they would like to keep Australian batsmen at bay. Meanwhile, Shaun Marsh has scored his 14th ODI fifty.
