Cheteshwar Pujara has been in outstanding form in Australia. Last month, he had bailed India out of trouble with a sublime 123 at the Adelaide Oval before another half-century in the second innings ensured India had enough on the board to secure a historic win.
In this game, on Thursday, scored his 18th Test century on Thursday during the first day of the fourth Test between India and Australia. He faced 199 balls and smashed 13 fours over the course of another marathon innings.
Cheteshwar Pujara remained unbeaten on 130* at the end of Day 1 stumps, who faced 250 deliveries. He almost batted entire day, as the opening batsman KL Rahul walked back for a cheap score.

However, he was so near to it but unfortunately walked back 7 runs short to it. Just when whole cricket fraternity is waiting to give a standing ovation for Cheteshwar Pujara, he was dismissed by Nathan Lyon, who took a return catch.

Test match batting at its best by Pujara. @cheteshwar1 has been the difference between the 2 teams for me. To be able to bat for such long periods of time is a testament to his concentration and understanding of the game. #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/7GJmJieOAk

Classical Test Match batting, a masterclass from Pujara. So much to learn from him for batsman all over the world these days. And while comparison is not fair, for the criticism he gets , in this series Pujara has scored runs at a strike rate marginally more than Kohli. pic.twitter.com/y20abO588C

Quite amazed that Duracell haven’t approached Pujara yet for a tie up.

Was watching the cricket, went outside, got a coffee, came home, showered, put the kettle on, watched Titanic, got lunch, read war and piece, left home, went travelling, did a gap year, turned the cricket back on… and Pujara was still batting
