It is not a good time to be KL Rahul as the Indian opener is going through a rough patch. The Indian opener was dismissed for only nine runs after Josh Hazlewood got the better off him. Rahul went with hard hands and could only get the outside edge which was carried to Shaun Marsh at first slip.

Meanwhile, Rahul got his chance when Rohit Sharma was unavailable as he flew back to India after the birth of his daughter. However, the flamboyant batsman could not hold on to his opportunity as he once again failed to score runs.

Rahul continues his dismal performance.

In fact, Rahul looked uncomfortable for his stay of only nine runs. Mitchell Starc asked some difficult questions in the first over and Rahul could only find the outside and inside edges of the bat.

Meanwhile, Rahul would be disappointed by his dismal show. He hasn’t been able to hit the ground running and has lacked confidence in his batting approach. The right-hander has thus far failed on the tour of Australia. Rahul had tough going against the incoming ball and was dismissed via Leg Before Wicket and bowled on most of the occasions.

On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara have looked solid in their batting technique. Agarwal scored his second Test fifty he scored 77 runs, which is best in red ball version. Meanwhile, Pujara is unbeaten on 32 runs and he is also looking solid to make a big score.

Mayank Agarwal once again batted at the top of his game and brought some classical shots from the closet. In fact, Agarwal has once again taken the attack against Nathan Lyon and had hit two sixes against him. However, Nathan Lyon had the best laugh as he got the better of Agarwal.
