It was quite a series for Indan National Cricket Team in Australia. They have bagged their first-ever series victory in Australia to make things special. Virat Kohli led the side from the front with the help of some marathon knocks and the spells by his boys. Meanwhile, the former swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag lauds the performances of the boys.

India won the Adelaide Test and Melbourne Test to win 2 games in the series while Australia achieved victory at Perth. With the SCG Test being drawn because of the steady rain on Day 4 and 5, India will be walking into the ODI series with the Trophy.

Cricket lovers in India are very proud – Virender Sehwag

Speaking of the victory, Virender Sehwag, in his tweet, congratulated boys for the memorable victory. He added that every cricket fanatic in India is pretty happy with the performance and proud of the result. Sehwag gave his special mentions to each player of the team, who put their Thumbs up in tough times.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”Congratulations Team India for this memorable win. Every cricket lover in India will be very proud of this one and a special effort by every member in the Team to ensure this result.”

Coming into this fourth Test, the day 5 morning began with similar dark clouds as seen throughout Sunday. Right at the supposed start of play, rain arrived to prevent any possibility of cricket happening at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Hence, the match was called off at 2.30 pm local time, with no possibility of further play.

With India already having the 2-1 lead, they retained the trophy successfully. Now, they will head into the 3-match ODI series before leaving back home. After that, they will be locking horns against Kiwis.

It would be interesting to see how things would pan out for the Indian side in the upcoming limited overs series. After the conclusion of Kiwis series, India will host Australians in the limited overs format.
