India’s premier fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar isn’t in the best of forms in the recent past. However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar once again provided a great start to the Indian side. Kumar got the ball into jab back into Australia’s captain Aaron Finch. The right-hander who had played patiently for his 19-ball innings tried to broke the shackles and went for the big shot but there was a gulf between his bat and pad, which Kumar was able to find.
However, Finch could only manage an inside edge which was chopped back into the stumps. In fact, Kumar had got the wicket of Finch in the first One-Dayer in the same fashion.
Furthermore, Mohammed Shami got the better of Alex Carey with a well-directed bouncer. The southpaw batsman played a half-hearted shot which ballooned the ball to Shikhar Dhawan, who took a simple catch at mid-wicket.
Meanwhile, Aaron Finch once again won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia has remained unchanged whereas Mohammed Siraj is making his debut for the Indian team. He became the 225th played for the Indian team.
On the other hand, this is a must-win match for the visitors as they had lost the first game by 34 runs. Jhye Richardson was the star of the show for the hosts as he scalped four wickets. Rohit Sharma was the lone warrior for the Indian team in the first match as he scored a fine 133.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has thus far bowled a brilliant first spell. The right-hander has bowled with great control and this performance must have added confidence to his bag. He has conceded only nine runs in the five overs he has bowled and would like to continue in a similar fashion.
