We seldom see India’s former skipper MS Dhoni made a diving effort to get back into his crease. However, Dhoni is still at the top of his fitness despite been 37 years old made a fine effort to get back into the crease. Dhoni played the ball towards the cover region and jetted off for a quick single.

However, the former captain had to put in a dive to get back into the crease. There was no direct hit and Dhoni was able to get back into the crease. In fact, even if there had been a direct hit from Shaun Marsh, he would have still made his ground. Thus, he showed that he is still fit as a fiddle.

Dhoni is still fit.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was looking good as he took his time to settle into the crease. Furthermore, the former skipper completed his 10000 runs in ODI format while playing in the Indian colours when he got off the mark. He also brought his 68th ODI fifty and would like to take India over the finishing line.

On the other hand, India was reeling at 4-3 after losing the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu. Jason Behrendorff gave a perfect start to his team when he trapped Dhawan in front of the wickets.

Jhye Richardson struck on consecutive deliveries to leave India’s run-chase in muddy waters. However, Rohit Sharma completed his 38th fifty to rescue India out of the trouble.

Both Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have added more than 100 runs and thus they have kept India in the game when the defeat looked at an arm’s length. However, Dhoni was dismissed by Jason Behrendorff after scoring 51 runs.

Australia had posted a par total of 288 runs.
