India’s skipper Virat Kohli could not finish the game after scoring a brilliant hundred in the second match of the ongoing series against Australia. Kohli timed the ball with perfection but found Glenn Maxwell at the cow corner. Thus, Kohli was not at all happy after he could not provide the finishing touches to the innings.

Meanwhile, India needs another 34 runs from 23 balls to draw level in the series. Kohli batted at the top of his game and scored runs all around the ground. The Indian captain worked the ball into the gaps to pick up his ones and twos.

Kohli scored only five fours and two sixes in his blistering hundred. Thus, the right-hander scored most of his runs in singles and doubles. This was Kohli’s 39th ODI hundred as he continues with his penchant of scoring hundreds at Adelaide. In fact, this was Kohli’s 24th ODI hundred while chasing a target.

Rohit Sharma scored 43 whereas Shikhar Dhawan scored a brisk 32 to give a good start to the visitors. The Indian skipper was once again able to prove his mettle and batted at the top of his game. Meanwhile, Australia had posted a big score of 298 runs after Aaron Finch once again won the toss and decided to bat first.

Shaun Marsh played a key role as the left-hander scored a brilliant knock of 131 runs. Marsh was given good support from Glenn Maxwell, who scored a brisk knock of 48 runs from 36 balls.

On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalped four wickets and gave away 45 runs in his 10 overs quota. However, Mohammed Siraj was on the expensive side.
