“He (Page) knows what he’s got to do now leading into the Test match. It’s going to be a good one and I think the boys should be excited and there’s definitely going to be a result wicket I think, going by what’s happened in the first couple of Shield games this season,” Peter Siddle concluded.
Australia vs India 2018: MCG Wicket Will Definitely Produce Result - Peter Siddle

Peter Siddle, the veteran fast bowler from Australia, conceded the Melbourne Cricket Ground wicket, which will host the third Test between Australia and Indian National Cricket team, is likely to produce a result.
Meanwhile, International Cricket Council (ICC) deemed the MCG pitch as poor last summer. This time around curator of the MCG Matt Page is likely to inject more life in the drop-in wicket by putting a layer of sand between the concrete base and the pitch trays and will leave more grass on the pitch which will make it batting-friendly.
“It’s played alright this year,” Siddle told SEN on Thursday. “I played a couple matches ago when I got back from the UAE against South Australia and it was actually a good cricket wicket.
There was going to be a result; we got washed out on the last day needing 100 runs. That was going to be a result there. There was a lot of talks (about) the WA wicket when the boys played last week at the MCG,” he added.
There have been five centuries scored in three MCG matches this Sheffield Shield season. Marcus Harris, who made his debut in the Adelaide Test, scored an unbeaten 250 that sealed his Test call-up. Peter Siddle admitted the wicket would excite the cricketers and they will go for the results.
