Australian opener Marcus Harris was hit flush on the helmet by a Jasprit Bumrah bouncer on the third day of the second Test against Indian National Cricket team in Perth.
The hosts started their second innings on a high with Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris showing some intent. However, a short-pitch delivery directed to Finch hit him in his finger and he had to run to the hospital for scans. Usman Khawaja then joined Harris as the Indian pacer continued to attack the Australian batter with bouncers.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a deadly bouncer to Marcus Harris as it hit on the helmet. The ball was right on the badge as he misses this in-angling nasty bouncer from Bumrah. It was bowled at 142kph and Harris took his eye off it. The ball kept coming in and Harris was trying to sway away from it. He went down on the ground but quickly got up too.
The physio comes out quickly to examine, who gave him a clean chit to continue batting. The Indian players – Rahane, Rahul and Pant came up to the batsman to ask if he was alright.
