Ravindra Jadeja was able to give India their second breakthrough of the fourth day’s morning when he got the wicket of Australian opener Marcus Harris. The southpaw batsman jabbed at the ball with hard hands and Mayank Agarwal, who was fielding at short leg, was able to hold on to a fine catch with the help of his belly.

India took two wickets in the opening session after deciding to declare their second innings at 106-8. The visitors were given a perfect start when Jasprit Bumrah struck on the second ball of his spell. Bumrah got the ball to move in against Aaron Finch, who tried to play a poor cut short.

The talisman fast bowler scalped his career-best figures of 6-33 after breathing down the neck of the Australian batsmen. Subsequently, India will hope that Bumrah will repeat his first innings heroics.

On the other hand, Australia will hope for some rain to help them save in this Test match. The hosts are currently 44-2 and need another 355 runs to win the match. Hence they are staring down the barrel of the gun.
