Australia’s premier spinner Nathan Lyon was able to plumb India’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane in front of the wickets. The ball once again didn’t bounce much when Rahane went back into his crease. It was dead plumbed as umpire Ian Gould didn’t waste any time in raising his finger. The right-handed batter made 34 runs. Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara also got out on a ball that kept low.
In fact, Rahane once again started his innings in the topmost gear. However, he decided to gear down after settling into the crease. Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon had troubled both Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma in his previous over.

The pitch continues to surprise.
Rohit Sharma decided to go for a sweep but could only manage a top edge. However, a simple catch was bungled by substitute fielder Peter Siddle. Furthermore, Ajinkya Rahane also had a lucky escape when Travis Head who was standing at short leg could not get into the right position to take a catch.

Consequently, Nathan Lyon was finally rewarded for his good work. Meanwhile, India is still in a dominating position as they are currently batting at 390-5.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored his 17th Test century as the right-hander continued his good form in the ongoing series. Pujara has thus far scored 328 runs in the series and he is the leading run-getter in the series.
Pujara and Kohli stitched an enormous partnership of 170 runs as Kohli played a fine knock of 82 runs. It wasn’t a typical flamboyant inning from the Indian skipper as he was patient in his approach.
