Australia vs India 2018: Watch Usman Khawaja Take a Blinder to Send Back Virat Kohli

Australia’s southpaw batsman Usman Khawaja took a stunner while fielding at gully to take out the big fish, Virat Kohli. Indian skipper went with hard hands for a cover drive and it was a blinder of a catch from Usman Khawaja. Khawaja took a fine catch with his left hand while flying at his gully position. Thus, it took just three deliveries for Pat Cummins to get the better of Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, there were huge expectations from Virat Kohli as he carries a billion hopes on his shoulders. However, Kohli could not deliver the goods as he scored only three runs from 16 balls. Therefore, it was a big wicket for Australia as Kohli has been in sublime form and holds the key for India.

The Indian skipper had amassed 692 runs on the previous tour and had scored twin hundreds in the Adelaide Test. However, Kohli could not repeat a similar performance in the first innings of the Adelaide Test.

On the other hand, KL Rahul and Murali Vijay were also dismissed cheaply as they scored two and 11 runs respectively. Consequently, the pace troika of Australia, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins have a wicket each under their belt.

Meanwhile, it is well said, “Well begun is half job done”. Thus, Australia has begun on a high and would be delighted with their start. India is currently 27-3 and has their backs against the wall. Hence, the hosts have put their noses in front as they have had a perfect start.

India will need to pull up their socks and the onus is on their deputy Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.
