India’s captain Virat Kohli plucked a blinder of a catch to send back Peter Handscomb. Kohli who was standing at the second slip took a screamer with his right hand. The talisman batsman flew to his right to grab a fine catch. Thus, India was able to get their fourth wicket of the day after a shaky start to the first session.

Consequently, Ishant Sharma got his first wicket of the day when Kohli took a stunning catch. Meanwhile, Indian bowlers have made a solid comeback in the ongoing Test match. The Australian openers gave a solid start to their team as Finch and Harris added their maiden 100-run partnership.

The opening pair scored 66 runs in the first session without any damage in the wickets column. Both of them batted with gumption as they applied themselves in the crease.

However, a fiery spell from Jasprit Bumrah was able to get back India into the contest. Bumrah was right on the money as he breathed down the neck of the host’s batsmen. The Indian pacer was able to plumb Aaron Finch in front of the wickets after getting the ball to pitch-up to the batsman.

Subsequently, Umesh Yadav got the better off Usman Khawaja with a good short-pitched delivery. In fact, India got a bonus wicket in Marcus Harris as Hanuma Vihari got one to bounce of the track. Thus, it has been a good comeback from the tourist’s bowlers after the bleak first session.

In fact, the visitor’s bowlers will not like to take their foot off the pedal as they would aim to keep coming up with wickets.
