Australian skipper Steven Smith ended a remarkable Ashes campaign by winning the Compton-Miller Medal as the player of the series. He registered 687 runs, average of 137.40 and three centuries – including a career-best 239 in Perth.

Australia’s bowling quartet of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon all bagged over 20 wickets with Cummins topping the list 23 wickets.

Australia’s 4-0 series win has seen them exchange positions with England on the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Test team rankings and go to third place.

As the celebrations moved from the ground into the SCG dressing room, Getty photographer Ryan Pierse was given special access to capture the Aussie celebrations.
