Bangladesh Cricket Board Rope in Gary Kirsten for the Role of Advisor

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) roped in former India World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten as a consultant. The South African would recommend and order the board in some matters pertaining to the appointment of coaches at various levels.
BCB management said that former Proteas cricketer Kirsten appointment as a consultant in the final stages owing to the inputs of different matters of the Board in particular,
Kirsten also appointed as the coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL:
Bangladesh’s former coach Gordon Greenidge was felicitated at the Sonargaon hotel in Dhaka.
During the event at Dhaka on Sunday, President Nazmul Hassan informed that Kirsten is already working for the board.
“We have already confirmed Kirsten’s appointment. It is in the final stages. He is already working for us,” said BCB President Nazmul Hasan according to Daily Star.

“Kirsten will help us work out which coaches will work in what specific roles and that includes the head coach role of the national side,” continued Hasan.
Hasan maintained Kirsten will help out the Board in defining the distinct role of the coaches within the setup.
“We will hand over a list of new coaches to him. He will also hand us a list of his own. We will then sit down with him to discuss the coaching roles for Bangladesh cricket,” concluded the Bangladesh cricket chief.
Veteran top-order batsman Gary Kirsten played 185 One-day Internationals and 101 Tests for South Africa. He started off his international career in 1993 against Australia at Sydney.
