Adelaide Strikers star spinner Rashid Khan will play tonight’s KFC Big Bash League blockbuster against Sydney Thunder in honour of his late father, who passed away last night.

Meanwhile, Rashid revealed the news earlier in the morning saying that he lost the most important person in his life.

There was reasonable doubt surrounding Rashid Khan’s participation in tonight’s contest. However, the Strikers announced the 20-year-old would take the field in the annual New Year’s Eve showdown.

The Adelaide Strikers advise that Rashid Khan wants to play in tonight’s match against the Sydney Thunder at Adelaide Oval in honour of his late father,” a media release read.
