The BCCI is forced to call off the first two games of the Quadrangular series due to inclement weather conditions. The four teams featuring in the series are India A, India B, South Africa A & Australia A.

The series was set to get underway on 17th August at Mulapadu, Vijayawada. But incessant rains rendered the ground unplayable for next two days. As a result, the BCCI decided to call off the first two games.  Amitabh Choudhary, acting secretary of BCCI, confirmed the development.

The games that have been called off are – India A vs Australia A and India B vs South Africa A.

“Due to heavy rainfall in the region, the match officials, in consultation with the ground curator Mr S Sriram, reached a consensus that the ground conditions were not suitable for play for the next two days,” Choudhary said in a statement.
