BCCI Still To Clear Rs. 1 Crore Prize Money For Ranji Trophy Runners-Up Bengal

BCCI has still not been able to clear Rs. 1 crore prize money for Ranji trophy runners-up Bengal. It is understandable that the cricket board has still not been able to clear the amount due to the pandemic situation. However, it should be noticed that India’s disabled players had earlier notified that the they are still to receive the prize money after winning the inaugural T20 Physical Disability Cricket World Series. But the board had cleared their dues later.

Bengal Ranji team players are doing their bit to maintain their fitness in the pandemic situation. The members are also taking up webinar sessions and are constantly in touch with heaad Arun Lal and other coaching staffs.

We are not complaining, but things have become difficult: A Bengal player

In fact, the Telegraph reported, that a senior Bengal player had highlighted the point in a team bonding session. One of the player also said that, he is not complaining and understands the situation, but circumstances become difficult with non-availability of payment for three months.

“It’s not that we are complaining. We certainly understand how the circumstances have been. But things do become really difficult if we don’t get paid for three months or so,” a player, who didn’t wish to be named, told The Telegraph.

However, CAB president Avishek Dalmiya has said that the board is processing the payment and one can expect it within day or two.

Coach Lal, has, kept his focus on the players fitness. He has adviced them to work on it as it will help them clinch trophies in the upcoming seasons.
