Ahead of the much talked about India-Pakistan clash, India and Pakistan wheelchair teams met on a cricket field. India wheelchair team was able to win the Friendship cup contest in UAE by a margin of 89 runs. Men in Blue posted a score of 181 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan was bundled out for 92 runs. Thus, India won the match which was played at EGC Ground in Ajman by 89 runs.

India wheelchair team is led by Somjeet Singh. There will three matches between India and Pakistan wheelchair teams. This was the first match of the series.

In fact, earlier in the year, India’s Blind team had gone on to win the Blind’s World Cup by defeating Pakistan in the final.

Meanwhile, India and Pakistan will lock horns with each other at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 19 September. Both the nemesis had squared off with each other in the Champions Trophy final which Pakistan went on to win by a margin of 180 runs.

On the other hand, India will be without the services of their full-time skipper Virat Kohli. The talismanic right-hander has been rested by BCCI to manage his workload.

Thus, Rohit Sharma will hold the captaincy reins for the team. Subsequently, the onus will be on Hitman to provide a good start with his deputy Shikhar Dhawan.

India will begin their Asia Cup campaign today against Hong Kong. Therefore, Men in Blue will like to get off to a good start in the tourney.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka is already knocked out of the Asia Cup 2018. Sri Lanka lost both their matches by a margin of 137 and 91 runs.
