Indian limited-overs deputy Rohit Sharma makes the cut in the Mumbai’s off-season camp for the upcoming season.

In fact, Rohit could not break into the Test squad against England. The Indian team selectors decided to give an opportunity to Karun Nair in place of the Indian opener in the white-ball format.

Furthermore, India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane makes it in the list.

Moreover, fast bowler Shardul Thakur, who is included in the Test team makes the cut into the probable list. Youngster Prithvi Shaw, who had toured England with India A side is also added to the 27-members list.

Rohit Sharma will like to keep fighting for his Test spot:

Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane might not partake in the camp as he will be busy with the International commitments.

However, as Rohit could not break in the red-ball format, he can join the camp. Thus, it would be a good chance for the veteran batsman to work on his Test game.

In fact, Rohit could not find his place in the Test team for the One-off match against Afghanistan.

The right-hander was given his opportunity in the first two Test matches against South Africa. However, Rohit failed to grab the opportunities with both his hands as he got out on cheap scores.
